Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am on Monday, March 5, 2007 in the Gray Memorial Funeral Home, 12 Springfield Ave., Cranford for Adelaide Y. Hoesly . Interment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park, Kenilworth. Friends and relatives are invited to visit from 11 am until the time of the service.
Adelaide age 82 passed away on February 28 in Union Hospital. She was born in Elizabeth and was a life long Cranford resident. She began her career with the Bell System in 1948 working for Western Electric. She later worked for A T&T in Bedminister as a manager in human resources. She retired in 1984.
Adelaide was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and The Ladies Auxillary of the American Legion Post 60 in Roselle Park.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Bernard Mack, Dorothy Hilken, Thomas Hoesly and her nephew Thomas Hilken. She is survived by her sister, Carol Rappoccio. Also surviving are her nieces and nephews, Diane Ernst, Linda Kiempisty, Robert, Charles, Kathleen Hilken, Donna Cicchetto, John Rappoccio, Mark Hoesly and was also an aunt to many others.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Altar Guild of Trinity Episcopal Church, Cranford.
