Adeline Soriano

Adeline Soriano, 102 years old, formerly of Westfield, died Monday June 20, 2011, in the Care One Nursing Center in Morristown. Relatives and friends are in invited to the Visitation from 2:00-5:00 PM Thursday June 23rd, and from 10 AM to 11AM on Friday June 24th, at Gray Funeral Home, 318 E. Broad Street, Westfield, where the funeral service will begin at 11:00AM, Friday June 24, 2011. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Westfield. Born on August 3, 1908, in Westfield, NJ to Emidio and Vincenza De Chellis Pensa, she moved to Morristown in 1996, where she had been under nursing care since 2003. Mrs. Soriano had worked for the Aluminum Company of America, and was a member of the Golden Girls Singing Group at Care One Nursing Center.She enjoyed her family, and also enjoyed cooking and sewing. Adeline had been married to her husband, the late Michael Soriano for 55 years. She was also preceded in death by her sisters: Louise Pensa, Violet Byrnes, and her brother: Jack Byrnes. She is survived by her daughter: Anita Drye and her husband Ken of Thurmont, MD, her son: Michael Soriano Jr. and his wife Olga of Madison, NJ.six grandchildren: Cheryl, Kim, Lorie, Jennifer, Rebecca, Jeffrey, 13 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
