Albert George Stapperfenne

October 1, 1947 — January 15, 2012

Albert G. Stapperfenne, age 64, passed away at his home on January 15th. Born in Hazleton, PA; he spent his early childhood in Jim Thorpe, PA before residing in Roselle, NJ for the past 60 Years. Al was a 1965 graduate of Abraham Clark H.S., Roselle and a graduate of Newark College of Engineering (NJIT), where he received a BS in Industrial Engineering. He worked many years for The A.E. Nelson Co. in Roselle and more recently for Tiedemann Bookeeping and Acctg Svcs. of Florham Park. He was also a guitarist, a passionate baseball fan, an avid film and history buff and a devoted uncle. He was a quiet, gentle soul who had a kind word for all. Al is predeceased by his parents Mary E. (McGorry) and Albert H. Stapperfenne of Roselle. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law MaryAnn and James Farrell of Cranford, his beloved nephew Bryan Farrell of Brooklyn, NY and life long friends Bruce & Kathy (Graney) Nelson. Any memorial donations are requested to be made to Al's chosen charity: The Alzheimer's Assoc, 400 Morris Ave., Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834 or to The Roselle Firemen's Benevolent Assoc (FMBA), c/o The Fire Dept., 725 Chestnut St., Roselle, NJ 07203. A private family funeral will be through Gray Memorial Funeral Home in Cranford. Condolences can be made to grayfuneralhomes.com . A memorial service will be arranged at a future date.
