Alfred Shea 82, of Westfield, on March 10, 2010. Memorial services 1:00 PM Sunday, March 21, 2010 at the First Presbyterian Church, Westfield, with interment in Revolutionary Cemetery, Westfield. Arrangements by Gray Funeral Home, Westfield, NJ. Mr. Shea is survived by his wife, Evelyn Kline Shea, three children: Diane Shea Wohltmann (William) of Whitehouse Station, NJ, Linda Ann Crane (William) of Mountainside, Kenneth Alfred Shea (Marlene) of Atlantic Highlands, NJ, five grandchildren, brother: Melvin James Shea of Garwood, sister: Malvina Shea Montero of Virginia. A member of the First Presbyterian Church, Westfield, Mr.Shea was a veteran of the US Navy during World War II, and a past commander of the VFW Post, Westfield. He was also a member of DESA (Destroyer Escort Sailors Association), and the Masonic Lodges of Westfield, and East Orange. A graduate of Upsala College, and Farleigh-Dickenson University, he was an executive vice-president with the Atlantic Companies, New York, NY. Mr. Shea also volunteered with (SHIP) Seniors Health Insurance Program, assisting seniors with their health insurance needs.
