Anthony Rogala age 77 passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005 in the Overlook Hospital in Summit. He was born in Mielec, Poland and came to the United States when he was 11 and settled in Newark. He then lived in Clark for many years before moving to Mountainside 25 years ago.
He was a member of the Merchant Marines serving in World War II and then served in the Army as a paratrooper during the Korean Conflict.
He was the owner of Larchmont Liquors in Union for many years before retiring in 1990.
He is survived by his wife, Gilda Rogala. Three sons; Marc of Barneget, Michael of Philadelphia and Matthew of Avenel. One brother, Chet Rogala of Clark and one grandson, Michael.
Services will be on Friday at 10 am in the Gray Funeral Home 318 East Broad Street, Westfield. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Westfield.
