Antoinette Fairchild Feb 5 1916- Nov 5 2011 Antoinette Fairchild was a resident of Cranford, NJ all of her life and was born there on February 5, 1916. She attended all the schools at the time in Cranford, NJ. She was an air raid warden during World War 2, also in Cranford. She was active in the First Presbyterian Church in Cranford and served as a Deacon, Congregational Life, Memorial Division, an Elder and Member of the Session. She also had a lifetime membership of The Veterans of Foreign War Auxillary Post # 335. She was past president of the Wednesday Senior Citizens club for 2 years and President of the Thursday Senior Citizens club for 12 years. She retired from Swans Cleaners in Cranford after working there for 40 years and then became involved in line dancing which she taught for over 30 years in Cranford and Rahway right up until the day she died. She was really a true friend to all her "seniors". She organized the Rahway Rockers and Cranford Rockettes , entertaining senior centers, rehab centers, AARP locations, hospitals and many private parties. She leaves 2 children, Nancy C. DiFabio and her husband James of Edison NJ and Dr. June Mary Rosena and her husband Albert , of Granada Hills, California. 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren , 3 great-great grandchildren and 2 sisters Josephine Boerger of Florida and Rosaria Bostinto of Florida. A Private viewing, family only, will be held at Grays Funeral Home 12 Springfield Avenue, in Cranford. A memorial service for family and friends will be 11 am Friday November 18, 2011 at the First Presbyterian Church, 11 Springfield Avenue in Cranford. Interment at St. Gertrude's Cemetery in Colonia.
