Anton H. (Andy) Preuss, 96 passed away on November 2, 2008 at Sunrise Assisted Living in Westfield.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2008 at 10:30 am at the Gray Memorial Funeral Home, 12 Springfield Ave. Cranford. Visiting will be from 9:30 until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Westfield.
Mr. Preuss was born in North Bergen and has resided in Cranford for many years.
He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Coast Guard and the US Navy. Andy was employed as a maintenance supervisor for Western Electric in Kearney for 30 years. He retired in 1974.
Andy was an avid golfer who spent time at Gallopping Hill Golf Course and Ashbrook. He also loved to fish.
He is survived by his wife, Bertha Preuss and his sons, Richard and Donald. Andy is also survived by his siblings, Marie McGonegal, Marge Talbott, Ernie and Richard Preuss. He will also be deeply missed by his two grandsons and one great grandson.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
