Barbara Sue Thomson

Barbara Sue Pierson Thomson, age 81, of Westfield, NJ passed away February 11, 2011 at home with her husband by her side. She was born October 11, 1929 in Westfield, the daughter of late Miriam & George W Pierson. She was the youngest of 4 siblings, Marjorie Saylor, Marilyn Watts and Harold Pierson. On July 29, 1955 she married James G. Thomson. She graduated from Mount Saint Mary's Academy North Plainfield, NJ in 1947 and attended Centenary Jr. College in Hackettstown. She then took a position with the Irving Trust Company in NY, where she met her future husband. She worked at Central Jersey Bank for 14 years and retired in 1990. She is survived by her husband, James Thomson and 3 daughters, Wendy Thomson of Meriden CT, Jennifer Thomson of Linden NJ, and Tracey Thomson of Sparta NJ, and sister, Marjorie Saylor of Springfield NJ. A service was held Monday at Gray's Funeral Home in Westfield, NJ. Interment was at Fairview Cemetery.
