Mrs. Barbara D. Way, age 95, of Westfield. , passed away Monday, May 15th, 2006 at her residence.
Mrs. Way was born in Ayer, Mass. on February 2, 1911, the daughter of the late Sharon B. and Grace (March) Dickerman She lived in Westfield since 1939.
She graduated from Leland Powers Dramatic School in Boston Mass. She was a 64 year member of The Presbyterian Church in Westfield, where she served as Deacon, Elder, and member of of two Pastoral Search Committees. She was active in The Westfield Service League, Community Players, Community Concerts Association, and The Ashbrook Womes's Golf Association, where she helped found their Duplicate Bridge Club. She was a season ticket holder at The Metropolitan Opera.
She was the widow of Donald D. Way who died in 1995 .
Surviving are sons Peter Way of Westfield, NJ, Christopher and his wife Patricia of Seattle Washington, and Curtis and his wife Georgianna of Jacksonville Maryland A daughter, Sharon Way Tittle, and her husband Willian of Westfield, NJ Also survived by a grandson Sam David Way of Seattle, Washington. Also survived by nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service on Sunday June 11, 2006 at 2:30 PM at The Presbyterian Church in Westfield, in Westfield, NJ, with Rev. Vicky Ney officiating.
Burial will be private.
