Betty A. Haurie

Betty A. (Stockinger) Haurie, 82, of Scotch Plains, died Wednesday, June 9, 2010, at her residence. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 PM Monday June 14, 2010 at Gray Funeral Home, 318 E. Broad St., Westfield, where the Service of Remembrance will begin at 11:00AM Tuesday, June 15, 2010, with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery, Westfield. A member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Westfield, Mrs. Haurie had worked on the church's Lamplighter publication, and worked in other capacities, including the Altar Guild. She had been a special education aide in the McGinn Elementary School, Scotch Plains. She is survived by her husband of 59 years: Frederick C. Haurie of Scotch Plains, two sons: Bruce E. Haurie and his wife Lynn of Manassas, VA, Keith A. Haurie and his wife Maura of Fair Haven, NJ, four grandchildren: Caitlyn, Maya, Deanna, and Jason, and brother-in-law: Donald Haurie of Bay Head, NJ. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Parkinson's Foundation.
