Betty Jo (Nee Beasley) Kutlay

Betty Jo (Beasley) Kutlay, of Rockaway, died Monday November 15, 2021, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Mrs. Kutlay was 89 years of age. Betty spent many of her early years serving her community as PTA President in the local school district. She was born in Chattanooga, TN, before moving overseas to Turkey and finally residing in Rockaway. where she resided for the past 50 years. As a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, Betty was admired and loved for her Southern Charm and her New York personality. She was known to the world as simply "Betty Mommy" as this is the role she loved best and how so many people viewed their relationship with her. Betty was loved by everyone she came in contact with and was known for her glamorous holiday and New Years Eve parties. Betty's passions included traveling, family gatherings and shopping, of course, but her real dedication was to her daughters Suzan and Alisa. Her world revolved around them and not only did they think of her as an amazing Mother, but their best friend.

Betty was the beloved wife of Dr. Osman Kutlay, who passed away in 2013, devoted mother of : Suzan Brecken and her husband Lenny Brecken, Alisa Tuttle and husband Matthew Tuttle. Dear grandmother of Olivia, Sophie, Jackson, and Blake. Rest In Peace "Betty Mommy"

She is survived by her brother Jimmy Beasley and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her Mother Vesta (Walker) Beasley and Father Ben Beasley. Her sisters Evelyn Rowland and Isabel Anderson and her brothers Billy Jean Beasley and Jerry Beasley.

A Celebration of Mrs. Kutlay's life will begin at 11AM Friday November 19, 2021, at Gray Funeral Directors, 318 E. Broad St. Westfield, NJ, where her funeral service will begin at 12 Noon Friday.
