Betty F. Williams age 89 passed away on Sunday March 30, 2008 at her residence at The Sunrise Assisted Living in Madison, NJ.
Born in Coventry, England, she lived in Cranford for 43 years before moving to Madison in 2005.
During World War Two, Betty worked at wiring planes in her home land in England to support the war effort.
Betty was an avid quilter, and gardener.
She is pre deceased by her loving husband, John H. Williams who died in 2005. Surviving are three sons, John M. and his wife, Donna of Jensen Beach, FL; Keith and his wife, Andres of Hopatcong, NJ; and Gareth and his wife, Grace of Cranford. A daughter, Vanessa Diaz and her husband, Eddie of Andover Township, NJ. She is also survived by eight grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at The Gray Memorial Funeral Home 12 Springfield Ave., Cranford. A funeral service will be 11 AM Friday April 4, 2008 at the funeral home with burial following at Fairview Cemetery.
