Blanche Aretas Creighton

Mrs. Blanche Aretas Creighton, age 95 passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2006 at Union Hospital in Union, NJ.
Mrs. Creighton was born on October 21, 1910 in Perth Amboy, NJ and has resided in Cranford since 1941. Prior to moving to Cranford Mrs. Creighton graduated as a legal secretary from the Katherine Gibbs School.
Over the years she was very involved in many organizations. While her children were young she was an active member of the Cranford PTA and spent much time on various committees in the PTA.
She was a former member of the Cranford Dramatic Club and was the wardrobe and prop supervisor for many years.
She held every official position, including President at the Wednesday Morning Club, a Federated Woman's Club in town.
She was also very active in her church, Trinity Episcopal Church. She was a choir mother, a memebr of the Ladies Guild and sat on the fundraising committee for several years.
Her husband, Donald R. Creighton, Sr. passed away in 2001. She is survived by her two sons and their wives, Donald R. Jr. and his wife Susan and Gerald L. Sr. and his wife Isabel. She is also survived by her 3 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to either the Trinity Church Building Fund or to the Cranford First Aid Squad.
