Carol Ann Poszyler, age 63, died surrounded by her loved ones on July 24, 2021 after a short, but vicious battle with lung cancer. Carol grew up in Irvington, New Jersey and had been a Cranford resident since 1989. She married Greg in September of 1980 and shared lots of fond memories over their 41 years of marriage. She worked for many years in customer service before joining her husband and son in the family kitchen business.
The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Carol. She loved being on the water and spending weekends on their boat with friends and family surrounding her. Carol was a die hard Mets fan, and when not on the boat or catching a game she was passing time watching the food network. She loved to help animals in need and rescued many kittens over her years; giving each of them a life full of love and warmth and a chance to be happy.
She was a devoted wife, mother and friend, and those who knew her loved her. She had an uncanny ability to find happiness in her daily activities. Her pleasant personality was contagious to everyone she met.
Carol is survived by her loving husband Greg; their daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Joe of Sayreville, NJ; their son, Gregory and his long time partner Nicola of Clark, NJ; and lots of fur grand-babies. She is also survived by her siblings Michael and Steven , nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Leona and Stanley, as well as her loving in-laws Lois and Walter, and brother-in-law Rockey.
Carol's visitation will be on Thursday July 29th from 4:00-9:00PM,
at Gray Memorial Funeral Home, 12 Springfield Ave. Cranford, where her funeral service will begin at 11:30am Friday. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Westfield. Please go to:www.grayfuneralhomes.com to offer condolences.
