Mr. Charles James Mc Donough, 87, of Pine Run Community, Doylestown, PA. passed away Tuesday, October 31st, 2006 at Pine Run Health Cneter. He lived in Doylestown PA for the last 12 years. Before that he lived in Westfield in the 1990's. Baldwin Long Island in the 1970's and 1980's He lived in Paris France in the 1960's and in Germany in the 1950's.
Mr. Mc Donough was born in Staten Island, NY on April 2, 1919, the son of the late Charles J. and Mary (Boyle).
Retired Liutenant Colonel at US Army for 30 years retiring in 1970. He served for 30 years in the U.S. Army and a Recipiant of The Distinguished Service Medal. He retired and Honorably Discharged in 1970. He served in World War Two Air Defense Artillary. Served in Commanding General Staff College in many intellegence and Army Schools including Fort Leavenworth Kansas.
He was the widower of Marian F. Mc Donough who died in 1993. Pre deceased by a brother, Bernard I. Mc Donough
Surviving is a son Michael C. Mc Donough of Mountainside. Two grandchildren, Michael and Katherine Mc Donough.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at at Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church, Mountainside, NJ, at 9:30 AM on Friday, November 3rd, 2006.
Burial will follow at Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, Long Island.
Visitation will be on Thursday 7-9 PM. at Gray Funeral Home 318 East Broad Street in Westfield.
