Civita Iacono

Civita (nee Cristo) Iacono passed away June 4, 2011 at home after a short illness. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 PM Monday June 6, 2011 at Riggs Funeral Home, 130 Route 9, Forked River, NJ. There will also be visitation from 8AM until 10:30AM on Tuesday June 7, 2011 at Gray Funeral Home 318 E. Broad Street, Westfield. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday morning, June 7, 2011 in Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 315 First St., Westfield. Entombment will follow in Hollywood Memorial Park, Union. Born in Bronx NY on 7/1/1931, grew up in Newark NJ she resided in Westfield in 1960 and resided in Bayville NJ in retirement. Civita is survived by her beloved husband Giuseppe and was married for 58 years. She was loved by her children Maria Iacono Schettino (Joseph), Diana Iacono Czopek (Alex), Lynda Iacono DiDolce, Joseph A. Iacono (Zsuzanna), and cherished by her precious eight grandchildren (Lisa DiDolce, Rosemary Czopek, Jennifer DiDolce, David Czopek, Elizabeth Schettino, Stephanie DiDolce, Clarrissa Iacono and Ariana Iacono) and one great granddaughter (Tiffani DiDolce). Siblings include brother Ralph and sister Adeline, she was predeceased by her sister Catherine and her parents Nunzio and Marie Cristo.
