Clair Torgersen

Clair Torgersen, 86 of Cranford passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Visiting will be held on Sunday from 2-4 at the Gray Memorial Funeral Home, 12 Springfield Ave., Cranford. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 12 noon at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Westfield.
Mrs. Torgersen was born in Elizabeth and was a lifelong resident of Cranford who summered at the Jersey Shore. She was an artist who won several awards as a painter in watercolor, oil and acrylic. Clair was an active member in the Westfield, Cranford and Ocean county artist guild.
She was pre-deceased by her husband Theodore who passed away in 1998. She is survived by her sons; Todd and his wife Terry and Ted and his wife Gail. She will also be deeply missed by her sister-in-law, Jean Torgersen, her niece, Pam Kelly, her nephew, Matt Torgersen and her granddaughter, Thea.
