Born on April 29, 1963 in Plainfield, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Carl and Jane (Devinney) Kluge, and spent most of her life in Cranford. She graduated from Cranford High School in 1981, and Elizabethtown College, Elizabethtown, PA in 1987, with a B.A. degree in Elementary Education. Cindy was an elementary school teacher for many years in Cranford, Perth Amboy, and Fanwood. Most recently, she was the Sunday School Administrator at the First Presbyterian Church in Cranford, where she was also a Deacon.
Cindy was always happiest at the beach. She cherished her family vacations in Truro, Cape Cod, almost every year since 1967, and spent many wonderful summers in Belmar, at the Jersey Shore. She loved baking for friends and family, taking beautiful photos of her favorite sites in Cranford, and spending time with her precious Cockapoo, Sophie.
She is survived by her loving son, Matthew Carl Devlin; devoted sister, Betsy Kluge; and husband, Michael Devlin. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Cindy's memory to the First Presbyterian Church, 11 Springfield Ave., Cranford, N.J. 07016.
