Cyril F. Dadd

Mr. Cyril F. Dadd, 89 of Mountainside went to be with his Savior and Lord on March 28, 2007. He was married to Grace N. Dadd for 66 years who also went to be with her Savior and Lord on January 2, 2007. Throughout his life he was devoted to the service of Christ and the gospel.
Mr. Dadd was born in Brooklyn, New York on February 17, 1918 to Robert and Ada Dadd. Cy was a longtime resident of the area. He graduated from Cranford High School in 1936. He has been recognized as a Cranford High School Sports Hall of Fame Athlete. He received All State Honors in Football, basketball and baseball. He was considered one of the best all around athletes of his time.
He is survived by his children Dorothy Henry of Scotland, Robert Dadd of Green Brook and Cyril N. Dadd of Boston. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 4 from 10 am to 11 am at the Gray Funeral Home 318 East Broad Street, Westfield. Funeral Services will follow visitation at 11 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Westfield.
