Graveside services will be held on Monday, June 30, 2008 at 11:30 am at Fairview Cemetery, Westfield for David F. Ball, age 81 who passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2008 at the NJ Veterans Home at Menlo Park. Arrangements are by the Gray Funeral Home, Westfield.
Mr. Ball was born in Newark and lived in Scotch Plains from 1952 until 1993 when he moved to Whitehouse. He was a veteran of the US Navy, having served during World War II. He worked for many years as a newspaper pressman for the Newark Evening News, Star Ledger, Montclair Times, New Brunswick Home News and the Courier News. He was a member of the Pressmans Union - GCIU.
Mr. Ball is predeceased by his wife Rosemarie and his son, David. He is survived by his daughter, Susan Manks and her husband Michael and his daughter-in-law Josephine Slavin. He will also be deeply missed by his grandchildren, Chelsea, Melissa, Suzanne and Jared.
Donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
