Earl Joseph Frawley

Earl Joseph Frawley, Jr. died on July 4, 2007.
He was born in Chicago, Illinois and has resided in Westfield for the last 35 years.
He was a graduate of Loyola University. While at Loyola, he served his country as a member of the US Army Reserves. He served on active duty from 1956 until 1960 rising to the rank of Captain.
He was one of the pioneers of the computer industry working forst for the Honeywell Corporation and then Control Data Corporation. Following retirement, he joined Westwood Computer Corporation located inSpringfield, NJ. He worked there until the fall of 2006.
Mr. Frawley was quite active in community affairs serving as a member and President of the Board of Trustees of Minowaskin Swim Club. He was also a trustee of the Westfield Historical Society and the Westfield Adult School in addition to having held a position on the Board of Westfield Community Players. He was active in Westfield Little League for both boys and girls and a swimming and diving official for AAU and local events.
He is survived by his wife Patricia. His children; Melissa Frawley, Alison Gillen, Jennifer Coniff and Matthew Frawley. He is also survived by two brothers, Jerome and Dennis. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren; Colin, Timothy, Kathryn, Davis and twins Mary Grace and Elizabeth Ann.
In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the Westfield Historical Society or the Westfield Rescue Squad.
