Eileen Szpara a lifetime resident of Millburn, NJ passed away on February 6, 2025. Growing up Eileen was active in sports and music and graduated from Kean College majoring in Education. She continued to live and work in the Millburn area and was active in the community.

Eileen played on a number of women league sports teams, including volleyball, softball and tennis. Tennis was the sport she loved most and coached the Millburn Recreation Youth Tennis Team for a number of years. She followed all the professional tennis players and attended many events. When her nephew started playing golf, she watched every PGA tournament and new how every player was doing that season.

She enjoyed being with family and friends and was always willing to help others. Eileen served the community as a member of the Millburn-Short Hills Volunteer First Aid Squad for over 10 years and made many lifelong friends.

Eileen loved traveling with friends and family - from Nashville, TN to Reykjavik, Iceland. From Hawaii to California to Florida, she was a great traveler, always kind, friendly and curious. She also loved the outdoors and would take many weekend trips to the Poconos with her dear friends Robyn and Val, spending the days canoeing, hiking, and bike riding trips around the mountains.

She loved country music and enjoyed local country- line dancing and making the annual pilgrimage to the Nashville Fan Fair Country Music Festival in Nashville, TN. Eileen spent the last 20 years working with her friends Robyn and Val at their Da-Lor Heating and Cooling business in Morristown and she will be greatly missed by the Da-Lor team and all of the customers who enjoyed working with her.

Eileen will always be remembered as a kind and generous soul who loved her family and friends dearly and she will be missed every day by her surviving sister, nephew, cousins, neighbors and friends.

Eileen was the beloved daughter of the late Edward and Josephine (Sasiak)Szpara, and dear sister of the late Ann Carol Szpara. She is survived by her loving sister: Jane Koncicki and Jane’s husband Richard, and dear nephew Steven E. Lesiak.
