Elise (Buegler) Schmaus

Elise (Buegler) Schmaus, 86, of Cranford (NJ), died Tuesday March 23, 2010, formely of Stapleton, Staten Island, New York, she moved with her family to Cranford in 1957. Visitation will begin at 10am Friday March 26, 2010, Gray Memorial Funeral Home, 12 Springfield Ave., Cranford, NJ, where funeral services will begin at 11:00AM Friday. Interment will follow in Ocean View Cemetery, Oakwood Heights, Staten Island, NY. She was preceded in death by her husband: Walter F. Schmaus. She is survived by three children: Evelyn Morton of Cranford, NJ, Eileen Wragge-Morley(Steven) of England, UK, and Warren Schmaus (Constance) of Oak Park, IL, four grandchildren: Daniel Morton, Robert Wragge-Morley, Tekla Schmaus, Alexander Schmaus, two brothers: Robert Buegler(Marion) of CA, and Richard Buegler (Toni) of PA. A member of the Cranford United Methodist Church, she was an avid gardener. She graduated from Curtis High School, Stapleton, Staten Island, and worked for the Kress Co. in NY, and later in the Cranford, NJ Municipal Building. Memorial donations to the Cranford Rescue Squad.
