Elizabeth Alfes "Liz" Pye

Elizabeth Alfes Pye, 75, of Cranford, passed away on Monday January 18, 2016, at her
residence.

Liz's Life Celebration will be Tuesday (today) January 19th from 5:00-9:00PM at Gray Funeral
Directors, 12 Springfield Ave., Cranford. Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30AM
Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at St. Michael Catholic Church, 40 Alden St., Cranford. Interment

Born in Roselle, Liz was a graduate of Roselle Catholic High School, class of 1958. An avid
reader, Liz enjoyed travel, especially to Mexico City in the winter, and to Lake George, NY
during the summer. She was the beloved wife of the late: Robert H. Pye, devoted mother of
eight children: Mary Elizabeth Pye (Gerardo Gutierrez), Thomas R. Pye (Michelle Brier),
Kathleen Pye Kling (Carl), Christopher H. Pye, Matthew J. Pye (Sarai), Robert D. Pye, Suzanne
Pye (Michael Mautone), and Maureen Claire Pye (Phyllis Lewis). Liz is survived by nine
grandchildren: Joseph, Liz, Kaitlin, Bryanna, Samantha, Alyssa, Emily, Casey, Sophia, and was
the dear sister of: Patricia Maloney, Thomas Alfes, Robert Alfes, and Charles Alfes.
