Mr. Elmer Laky, 96, of Somerset, NJ passed away Tuesday, May 29th, 2007 at St. Peters University Hospital, , New Brunswick, NJ. Came to The United States in 1952 and settled in Newark, NJ,, and lived in Cranford from 1963 to 1997 . He moved to Somerset in 1997.
Mr. Laky was born in Szekesfehervar, Hungary..
He worked as a Designer Engineer for Breeze-Eastern Company a TransTechnology Co. , where he had may designs and patents.
Member of The Boy Scouts of America here in The United States. Also a member and scout leader of the Hungarian boy scouts Association since he was nine years old. Member of the Hungarian Club of Clark, NJ.
He was the widower of Valeria Laky, who died in 1991.
Surviving is a son, Elemer Laszczik of Germany. A niece, Valeria Horvath and family of Somerset, NJ. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.
Burial will be private at St. Gertrude Cemetery Colonia, NJ.
At the family's request there will be no visitation.
