ELSIE ANNA CERONE Registered Nurse, Westfield resident Elsie Anna (Schnaars) Cerone, 80, of Westfield, died on Friday April 1, 2011, in the Center for Hope Hospice, Scotch Plains. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM Tuesday April 5, 2011 at Gray Funeral Home, 318 E. Broad St., Westfield. Interment will follow in Hollywood Memorial Park, Union. Visitation will be 9:30 AM until service time, Tuesday at Gray's. Mrs. Cerone was a medical - surgical nurse with Orange Memorial Hospital, for more than 30 years. She graduated from the hospital's nursing school to become a registered nurse. Mrs. Cerone was a graduate of Columbia High School, Maplewood, Class of 1949. A member of the First United Methodist Church, Westfield, Elsie was active on various committees, including the Stephen Ministry, and Methodist Women. She was also a member of the Westfield Historical Society, and the Alumni of the Orange Memorial Hospital Nursing School. Mrs. Cerone was preceded in death by her husband: Aldo S. Cerone in 2005. She is survived by her son: Stephen Cerone and his wife Rosarie, two grandchildren: Anthony and Anna, ans sister: Marilyn S. Schnaars.
