Evelyn L. Dennis

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at 10:30 am in the Gray Memorial Funeral Home 12 Springfield Ave., Cranford for Mrs. Evelyn L. Dennis. Visiting will be held on Tuesday, April 29 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm in the funeral home.
Mrs. Dennis, 85 passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at her home in Cranford. She was born in Vestal, NY and has resided in Cranford since 1951.
She was employed as a secretary for Leslie M. Dennis and Sons Architects in Elizabeth for over 25 years. She retired several years ago.
Mrs. Dennis was a member of the First Baptist Church in Union and was active with the Ladies Lamp Circle of the church. She was also a member of the Azure Chapter OES #87 and the Arbor Vitea Court #40 Order of the Amaranth.
Mrs. Dennis was pre-deceased by her husband Robert L. Dennis in 1991. She is survived by her children, Neal R. and his wife Sally; Brian L. and his wife Deborah; Donald C., Eileen E. Dennis and Vallie A. McChee. She is also survived by her sister, Terry Kettering, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
