Mrs. Florence Anderson passed away on Thursday July 16, 2015.
She was born in Newark New Jersey, she resided in Cranford for the past 18 years. She was married to the late Mr. Willian Anderson, and mother to Mr. Rodney Anderson, the late Mrs, Rebecca Diuro and Mrs. Deborah Cordeiro. Grandmother to 11 grandchildren and Great-Grandmother to 15 great grandchildren. Also survived by her loving brother Mr. Edward Reilly of Virginnia.
Mrs, Anderson worked as a food service worker at Irvington General
Hospital until her retirement. Also during World War Two she worked in a defense plant. The first time she ever was on a plane she was 66 years old when she visted her younger brother Gene in California.
After that she flew to Hawaii a few times, Florida and California.
My mother was born under the sign of Taurus whose symbol is the she bull which fit my mom. She was very strong independent woman
who lived her life the way she wanted especially these last few years.
No matter what live handed her she faced it with inner strengh and
a great sense of humor.
I only hope I have inherited these traits and pass them onto my children this would be the best gift that she could leave her family.
Florence's Life Celebration will be Sunday July 19th, from 6:00-8:00PM at Gray Funeral Directors, 12 Springfield Ave., Cranford, where her funeral service will begin at 11AM Monday July 20, 2015. Interment will follow in Hollywood Memorial Park, Union, NJ.
