Frances C. Baker, 92, died Tuesday January 25, 2011 at Sunrise Assisted living in Westfield, NJ. Funeral services will be held Monday January 31 at 10 am at Gray Memorial Funeral Home, 12 Springfield Avenue, Cranford.…… Visitation is Sunday January 30 from 2-4 and 7-9 at The Gray Memorial Funeral Home, 12 Springfield Avenue, Cranford. Fran was born February 19, 1918 in Southbridge, MA and resided in Rhode Island until moving to NJ in 1946 with her husband, Bud. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Cranford-Elizabeth. She graduated with a degree in education from Rhode Island College and retired from Hillside Board of Education after teaching for many years. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years, Bud, in 2009. She is survived by her son Tom (Sigrid) of Seattle, WA., daughter Jill Jackson (Bill) of Cranford, grandchildren Florian (Sarah), Danny (Leah) and Heather Baker and Beth, Amy, and David Jackson and 4 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to First Baptist Church Cranford-Elizabeth 402 Union Ave Elizabeth, N.J.
