Frances Theresa Ferreira 68, of Cranford NJ, has gone to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 14th 2019.
She was born to Anthony and Palmarina DeFabio on November 29, 1950 in Saint Elizabeth Hospital, Elizabeth NJ. Frances obtained her nursing degree from Muhlenberg Nursing School.
A lifelong resident of Cranford, Frances devoted her time between her family and as a business owner and C.E.O of Centennial Cleaners Tailoring by Mario.
Frances was full of life and energetically devoted her time and energies to a variety of different organizations.
Happily, she served as a PTA member who began the "Olympics" at Brookside School. Additionally, she was the president and Co-founder with Mario Ferreira of the Centennial American Soccer Club as well as being the chairman of the Discipline Committee for the Mid New Jersey Youth Soccer Association.
Cooking and baking was a very large part of Frances. She relished having friends and family over for personal dinners and large family parties. Many get togethers were held around the swimming pool because Frances enjoyed celebrating life events with friends and family.
Then there was Woodloch Pines. For over 40 years Frances retreated to her home away from home. Frances and her family looked forward to time spent at their favorite vacation destination.
Also Frances enjoyed her summer trips to Wildwood NJ which led to the ownership of a summer home in Cape May. Summers were filled with beach going enjoyment, shopping and walking around Cape May Village, and who could forget her Vespa voyages!
Frances loved life! A conversation with Frances usually contained a bit of witt and banter. She made us laugh, cry, and desire to be around her. We will always love you and miss you!
Frances is survived by her loving and devoted husband Mario Silva Ferreira, son Eric Jonathan Ferreira, daughter in law Josephine Ferreira, and granddaughter Samantha Ferreira.
A Life Celebration will be held from Gray Memorial Funeral Home in Cranford. You may go to grayfuneralhomes.com for service details, photos, and on line condolences.
Donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
