Frances Johnson

FRANCES JOHNSON passed away peacefully at the age of 93 on Saturday May 11, 2019 at her home in Cranford, NJ.
Fran was born on January 6, 1926 in NYC. She was a graduate of Millburn High School and attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and Berkely Secretarial School in East Orange, NJ.
A long-time resident of Cranford New Jersey Fran retired in 1991 from the Fiduciary Trust International Company where she was an Administrative Assistant at the World Trade Center in NY. She was an active member of the Young Republicans Club and very involved in Republican politics in the 60's and 70's. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Cranford. More recently Fran served many years on the Board of Trustees of Parkway Village Condominium Association.
She is pre-deceased by her parents, brothers Peter Johnson and Leo Johnson and by her long-term soulmate Joseph Arvey.
Fran was the quintessential New York Giant fan. She was the kind of person who could relate to people of all ages and backgrounds. Everyone cared for Fran and she will be missed by a host of friends and neighbors, all who loved and admired her.
Fran's life celebration will be on Tuesday May 14th from 4-8pm at Gray Memorial Funeral Home in Cranford. Funeral services are 11AM Wednesday May 15th at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield.
