Frances Oldam, known by family & friends as "Fran", a longtime resident of Cranford and later Monroe Township, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 6, 2017 at the age of 87 surrounded by family. Fran was a home maker who loved all kinds of cooking, especially baking Christmas cookies. From an early age, Fran had a passion for babysitting children, singing and later playing the organ. She also loved sewing and was a top-notch, trophy winning bowler. She was an active member of the Nativity of Our Lord Church, an officer for the Rossmoor Polish Club and enjoyed many other clubs within her community. She was predeceased by her husband of over 40 years, Joseph Oldam. Loving mother to 4 sons Robert (deceased), Joseph of North Brunswick, Kenneth of Clinton, David of Coopersburg, PA. Also survived by 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren whom she adored. Visitation and life celebration will be held at Gray Memorial Funeral Home, 12 Springfield Avenue in Cranford, NJ on Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 4-8 pm. Funeral services will be at 11 am on Friday, November 10, 2017 at Gray Memorial Funeral Home as well. Interment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth, NJ.
