Frederic N. Williams, 71, of Westfield, died peacefully, surrounded by his family on Wednesday August 25, 2010. Visitation 6-8 PM Friday August 27, 2010, Gray Funeral Home 318 E. Broad St., Westfield (www.grayfuneralhomes.com). Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 9:45 AM Saturday August 28, 2010 in Immacualte Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Scotch Plains. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years: Patricia A. (Lang) Williams, three daughters: Laurie A. Williams and husband Craig Fairchild, Carolyn Watts and husband David, Suzanne A. Murphy and husband Robert, eight grandchildren: Tess and Dwight Fairchild, Julia, Autumn, Faith, and Melanie Watts, Allison and Amanda Murphy, brother: Richard T. Williams, sister: Dolores A. Williams, and an aunt: Virginia Craffo. Mr. Williams retired in 1994 from the New Jersey State Employment Services in Somerville, where he was a manager. A 1957 graduate of Holy Trinity High School in Westfield, he graduated from St. Peter's College, Jersey City. Mr. Williams also served in the New Jersey National Guard.
