George C. Jakovic, 66 of Garwood passed away on September 11, 2008 at his home. Visiting will be held on Monday, September 15, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm in the Gray Funeral Home 318 East Broad Street, Westfield. Interment will be private.
Mr. Jakovic was a lifelong resident of Garwood who was honorably discharged from the Army National Guard. He was employed by Frigidaire in Edison for 14 years as a maintainance mechanic and retired in 2004. Mr. Jakovic was a member of the VFW and also the Clark American Legion.
He was predeceased by his son, Scott. He is survived by his son, George and his wife Marissa, his sisters; Barbara Walker and Kathleen Haley, three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
