George A. Miller

George A. Miller age 92 died on Wednesday January 20, 2010 at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center at Rahway. Born in Alpha, NJ, he was a live long resident of Westfield. During World War Two, George served his country in the United States Army, and was woulded and redieved a purple heart. George worked for 30 years as a Wood Pattern Maker for B.P in Perth Amboy, NJ, retiring in 1992. He is pre deceased by his wife, Eve (Nee Wanca) who died in 1961. He is survived by his children, Ed Miller, and Evelyn Kuhn. Two brothers, Fred and Chick Miller. A sister, Claire Abbott. Also survived by 6 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. Visitation will be on Thursday from 7-9 PM at the Gray Funeral Home in Westfield. A funeral service will be 11 am Friday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Westfield Rescue Squad.
