Grace Ann Meyn

September 21, 1943 — February 24, 2025

Westfield

A woman who brightened the world with her smile, Grace Ann was always a pleasure to be around. A daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, and a friend she was one of the kindest souls. She left this world a better place for all she touched when she passed on February 24, 2025.

She was born to Michael and Grace Chencharik on September 21, 1943. Raised in Rahway and Colonia with her sister Carol, they were blessed with an idyllic childhood. Grace Ann graduated from Woodbridge High School in 1962. She then took time to work and travel before pursuing her degree in Psychology and graduated from Seton Hall University with her bachelors degree in 1975.

Grace Ann had a passion for fine arts, especially photography which she was fortunate to study while at Seton Hall. She was the family photographer always ensuring our adventures and occasions were beautifully documented.

Athletic and adventurous, Grace Ann participated in many sporting activities over the years. She particularly enjoyed tennis, boating and skiing, an activity that would lead her to meeting the love of her life.

Grace Ann met Robert Meyn when he came to present her ski club with charter flight opportunities. In June of 1975 they were married and together they would travel the world. They settled in Westfield and in September of 1980 they were blessed with a daughter, Michelle. They raised their daughter in a happy and loving home and encouraged her to be an independent and thoughtful adult.

Grace Ann thought of others often and would delight to see their faces when she would find them the perfect gift. These gifts had so much meaning and her thoughtfulness reminded those in her life how much they were loved.

Grace Ann spent most of her sales career with Lebanon Valley Offset where she was fortunate to make lifelong friends. Sales came naturally to her because of her outgoing and independent nature. She was an amazing saleswoman but she put family first, often bringing her mother and daughter on her work trips.

Calm, yet fun loving and adventurous. Agreeable yet determined and thoughtful. Anyone who knew her would say she was a wonderful person to be around. A fantastic listener who, when asked, gave wonderful advice.

May her life inspire us to have great determination in the pursuit of our dreams, and great passion for our families.

Grace Ann is survived my her loving husband of 50 years, Robert Meyn, of Westfield and her daughter Michelle Forbes who resides in Brick, NJ, with her husband Kyle. She leaves behind two grandsons Jack (9) and Axel (6).
