Helen Battaglia

Helen was born in Elizabeth and has been a lifelong resident of Westfield. She graduated from McAllister College in Minnesota with a Masters in Education. From 1965 until her retirement in 1995 she taught in the Martin Luther King School in Edison. She was a member of the NJEA. Her husband, Joseph C. Battaglia died in 1965. She is survived by her son, Joe Saltzman. A granddaughter, Emily Saltzman. Two brothers, Christopher and Ted Binaris. A gathering of family and friends will take place on Monday, November 21, 2005 from 11 am until 11:30 am at which time a service will take place. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Westfield. in lieu of flowers donations to St. Judes Childrens Hospital would be appreciated.
