Helen De Stefano died, Saturday, April 7, 2007 at the age of 95. A gathering of friends and family will take place at Gray Memorial Funeral Home, 12 Springfield Ave., Cranford this Wednesday, April 11 from 2 to 4 pm.
Helen was born in Brooklyn on May 29, 1911 and lived in her home in Roselle for over 50 years. She retired from Technical Wire Products 30 years ago, but remained active, living in her home, fully independent until her passing. She delivered books for Friends of the Library and Mobile Meals to shut-ins and the elderly for many years. She was an avid baseball and football fan, attending Dodger games in Brooklyn in the 50's and a Yankee game just recently.
Helen was married to Michael De Stefano for 65 years until his passing in 1997. She is survived by her daughter Doris Larsen, son-in-law Richard Larsen, grandsons Erik and Christopher Larsen, and their wives JoAnn and Lynda, and four great grandchildren, Alec, Madelyn, Jake and Kathryn Larsen. Over the past 95 years Helen made innumerable friendships and she will be missed by all.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the AMerican Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
