Hortense Blanche "Jackie" Wenzel

Hortense B. "Jackie" Wenzel, 90, of Cranford, died Saturday March 14, 2015, at her residence. Born in Roselle, NJ, she was a graduate of Roselle High School, and belonged to the high school's "Just 8's" alumna group. Mrs. Wenzel had been a former Sunday School teacher at the First Presbyterian Church, Cranford, and was a former member of the Cranford Womens Wednesday Morning Club. She enjoyed arts and crafts, especially knitting, and also spending time in Lavellette, NJ. Jackie is survived by her loving husband: W.H. "Jerry" Wenzel, two sons: Glenn R. Wenzel (Patricia), Roger G. Wenzel (Karen), two grandchildren: Kelly Garbarino (Payton), Robert Wenzel (Jaimee), four great grandchildren: Nicholas, Lia, Charlotte, Caleb, and sister: Nancy Burnett. Jackie's visitation and life celebration will begin at 10:30AM Saturday March 21, 2015 at Gray Memorial Funeral Home, 12 Springfield Ave, Cranford, where her service of remembrance will follow at 12:00PM Noon Saturday.
