James "Jimmy B" Balatsos

James Balatsos "Jimmy B" 91, of Mountainside, NJ, died on Friday August 28, 2015.
Jimmy B's visitation and life celebration will be Monday August 31st from 3:00-8:00PM at Gray Funeral Directors, 318 E. Broad St., Westfield, where Trisagion service will begin at 6:30PM Monday. His funeral service will begin at 11:00AM Tuesday September 1, 2015 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 250 Gallows Hill Rd, Westfield, followed by burial in Fairview Cemetery, Westfield. Born in Clinton, MA, Jimmy B was a man who had a passion for mechanical and electronic inventions, as well as other business endeavors. He enjoyed Greek music, and played the bouzouki in a band known as "The Ageans." A veteran of the US Marine Corps serving in World War II, Jimmy B was the beloved husband of the late Anna Balatsos. He is survived by his three daughters: Carolyn A. Scharfer, Jane Cranga, Anna Szeller and her husband Irv, seven grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Jimmy B was the brother of Mary Bouzoukas, Leo Balatsos, and the late Spiro Balatsos.
