Mr. James G. Blair, 85, of Cranford, NJ, died on August 7 at Overlook Hospital after a long illness. Born in Newark, NJ, he lived in Cranford for 50 years. Mr. Blair served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired in 1992 from Bristol-Myers after a distinguished career as a pharmaceutical sales representative. He volunteered for many years as a member of the Cranford Police Reserves. Proud of his Scottish heritage, Mr. Blair was also a member of the Clan Blair Society. He enjoyed attending annual Scottish game festivals. He will be remembered for his quick wit and his caring and congenial nature. Mr. Blair is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, June L. Blair; his daughter, June Hall, and her husband, David, of Westfield; and his grandson, Matthew Hall. Visitation and life celebration will be at 10:00 a.m. at Gray Memorial Funeral Home, 12 Springfield Avenue, Cranford, on Wednesday, August 13, followed immediately by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield.
