After a long illness, death came to Jeanne Willoughby Probst in her 88th year, at Jacksonville, Florida. She lived a life of goodness, always understanding mother and wife; the loving family counselor; our guiding light. She remained untouched by the passing years. She was an inspiration to allwho were privileged to share her life. She will be long and sorely missed.
Jeanne was educated at the Mt. Lebanon High School in Pittsburgh, PA; Grove City College and Penn State University. She was an active member for 45 years in the Westfield Presbyterian Church in New Jersey. She taught Sunday school in Venezuela, where she lived for 10 years. Jeanne was a member of the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority and alumni chapter. She taught high school English until her marriage in 1943. She traveled extensively, over a period of 50 years, in Venezuela, Europe, the Near East and the Far East.
She is survived by her husband David, of 65 years of marriage; a daughter, Pamela Dunn (Vince Dunn) of Orange Park, Fl; a son, Lynn Probst (Carol Probst) of Pittsburgh, PA; a sister, Leona Bishop of Albany, NY; 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
A private burial was held at Fairview Cemetery, Westfield, NJ with a memorial service being planned at a future date.
