Jessie F. Mackie (Nee Ferguson) age 90 died on Friday March 10, 2006 at the residence of her granddaughter, Dayle Back in Washington Township, NJ. Born in Paisley Scotland, she grew up in Hillside, living most of her life in Westfield, moving to Washington Township 12 years ago. She worked as an Office Manager for over 40 years for, Croll - Reynolds Company in Westfield, retiring in 1987. She was a member of The Presbyterian Church in Westfield, where serving with the Presbyterian Women, former deacon, active in its womens circle as chairman for their sewing ministries. She was active with many Scottish organizations. She is pre-deceased by her husband, James Mackie Sr. who died in 1981. She is also pre-deceased by two grandchildren, Beth Anne Mackie (1990), and Brian Scott Mackie (1997). She is survived by a daughter, Kay Kansky of High Bridge, NJ, and a son, James Mackie Jr. of Long Valley, NJ. Four grandchildren; Dayle Back with whom she lived in Washington Township, NJ, Glenn Kansky of Washington, NJ, Garry Kansky of High Bridge, NJ, and Paul Mackie of Long Beach Township, NJ. Also surviving are three great grandchildren; Kasey, Tiffany and Kelly. Visitation Monday from 10 AM to 11 AM with a service at 11 AM at The Gray Funeral Home in Westfield. Burial will follow the service at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, NJ.
