Joan Martin Hurford

Joan Martin Hurford age 63 passed away on August 11, 2001. Born in Montclair, New Jersey, she lived most of her life in Jersey City, then in Manhattan, NY before moving to Westfield. Joan graduated from Snyder High School in Jersey City, and Fordham Univdersity, Lincoln Center Campus in New York. She worked at Morgan Guaranty Company, then NBC advertising, and then to Pearlman-Rowe-Kolomatsky where she became vice president. She worked last for Youth and Family Counceling Center in Westfield. She is pre- deceased by her husband Richard E. Hurford, her father John Martin, and her brothers, John R. and David E. Martin. She is survived by her mother Helen Martin, a brother Richard G. Martin, and his wife Virginia. Brother in law Gary Hurford, sisters in law Cynthia and Leilani, four nieces and nephews, and five great nieces and nephews. All services are private under the direction of Gray Funeral Home in Westfield, NJ Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the charity of your choice.
