On Tuesday, January 17, 2023 Joanne Catherine Cunningham, 79 years of age, passed away peacefully at Hackettstown Medical Center.
Joanne was born on June 12, 1943 in Irvington, New Jersey. She was a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and friend. Joanne enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, going to garage sales, and walking her dog Petey, who she loved very much. She was a very loving and caring person, always thinking of others first.
Joanne was preceded in death by her husband Thomas and son Gary. Joanne leaves behind her daughter Sandra, step-son Tommy, 4 grandchildren: Christopher, Amanda, Desirae, and Maelani, 5 great-grandchildren: Alayna, Addyson, Aviana, Olivia, and Joseph, and a host of cousins and friends. Also surviving is her brother John.
Visitation will be at 10:00 AM on January 24, 2023, at Gray Memorial Funeral Home, 12 Springfield Avenue, Cranford, NJ 07016 followed by a funeral service at Hollywood Memorial Park and Cemetery, 1500 Stuyvesant Ave, Union, NJ 07083.
Flowers are welcome as are donations made in her honor to The ASPCA or The Wounded Warrior Project for Veterans.
