John N. Apgar

A memorial service will be held on March 4, 2006 at 12 noon in the Chapel of the Presbyterian Church, Westfield for Mr. John N. Apgar who passed away on February 11, 2006 in Overlook Hospital in Summit. He was 89.
He was born in Newark, NJ and resided in Madison for 40 years. He then lived in Whiting, NJ before moving to Westfield 12 years ago.
John was a Zoning Officer for Passaic Township, Millington, NJ for 5 years before retiring in 1987.
He was a World War II Navy Veteran who was honorably discharged as a Chief Yeoman.
He was also a member of the Presbyterian Church in Westfield.
Mr. Apgar is predeceased by his wife, Henrietta H. Apgar who passed away in 1997. Surviving are his children; John D. Apgar, Joyce Luy, Joanne Ketch and Janice Wyckoff. He is also survived by his sister, Joyce Williams, eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
