John Joseph Bianchi, 85, formerly of Myrtle Beach, SC passed away Tuesday March 5, 2024. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, he migrated to New Jersey where he had a long and distinguished career working for the Federal Government. One of the highlights of his career was representing the federal employees as Union President. John served his country and is a proud Veteran of the US Air Force, during the Korean War. He had a zest for life and trying new things. Some of his interests were church, dancing, golf, tennis, riding his motorcycle and good Italian food. He is survived by his daughter Kathleen Serkin, and his son and daughter in law Michael and Joanne Bianchi: He has eight grandchildren Christopher Serkin, Michael Bianchi, Nicole Serkin, Danielle and Paul Amorim, Matthew and Meredith Serkin and Salvatore Bianchi: two great grandchildren Lily and Ava. John’s final resting place will be at St. Charles Cemetery in Long Island. The family will have a life celebration between at 1-3 PM Friday March 15, 2024, at Gray Memorial Funeral Home, 12 Springfield Ave Cranford, NJ. The family requests that in lieu of flowers you make a donation to Veterans, Red Cross or your local church in his name.
