John M. Colarusso

John Michael Colarusso, 68, of Cranford, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2011. He was born to the late Theodore and Dora Colarusso in 1943, in Jersey City, NJ. John graduated from St. Mary’s High School and received a BS in Business from St. Peters College. He married Virginia Botti in 1966. John was a retired manager for over 32 years with AT&T. He dedicated most of his free time to the extracurricular activities of his children. He was very involved in the town youth athletic leagues as a coach. John enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren, playing the saxophone, reading and rooting for the Yankees. John, survived by his wife of 45 years, Virginia, and his six children: Theodore, Dr. Frank, Laurie DeRosa, Dr. John, Ginny, Sheryl Shara and his seven grandchildren, Thomas, Charlotte, Chase, Domenic, Vincenzo, Evan, Kayla and the late Emma Elizabeth. A viewing will be held on Monday 11/21 at 2-4 p.m. & 7-9pm at Grays Funeral Home in Cranford. Funeral Services will be held at 9:30am on Tuesday 11/22 at St. Michael’s Church in Cranford with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, NJ.
