John Michael Fedash age 76 died on Monday October 4, 2010 at the Overlook Hospital. Born in Jersey City, he lived in Cranford for 46 years. He served our country in the United States Army in the Korean Conflict, where he taught English to Korean students. John was an art teacher for 35 years in the Cranford School System. In 1992, he retired from Hillside Avenue School.. John taught Arts and Crafts for the Cranford Recreation Department, Summer Programs. Surviving is his loving wife of 48 years to Luba Czerhoniak Fedash. Two daughters, Kyra Fedash Milchalski and her husband Christopher, Laura Fedash Dobias and her husband Jonathan. Four grandchildren, Adam, Christopher, Kara, and Faith. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-4, 7-9 PM, with an 8 pm Parastas service at Gray Memorial Funeral Home, 12 Springfield Ave., Cranford. Funeral services 10 am Wednesday at St. Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Church in Elizabeth, with burial to follow at Graceland Memorial Park, Kenilworth. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the American Cancer Society in his memory.
