JOSEPH KOMINSKY Fisherman "Joey K", formerly of Clifton, NJ Joseph T. Kominsky, 67, born and raised in Clifton, NJ, former resident of Montgomery Center, VT, Pulaski, NY and Brick, NJ passed away on Thursday, December 10th. Visitation is on Sunday, December 13th at the hours of 2:00 PM till 6:00 PM at Gray's Funeral Home, 318 East Broad Street in Westfield, NJ. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 14th at 9:40 AM at St. Helens Church, 1600 Rahway Avenue in Westfield, NJ. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ. Born in Paterson, NJ on April 13, 1942. Lived in Clifton for the early part of his life and was a Printer for the Herald News. He then moved to Montgomery Center, VT and opened and operated Westhill Printers and Kominsky's Bloomers for many years. Always an avid fisherman, he left Vermont and relocated to Pulaski, NY and became a fishing guide on the Douglaston Salmon Run where he gained notoriety as "Joey K". His success brought him industry recognition: appearances on television, invitations to numerous outdoor life exhibitions throughout the Northeast as well as writing assignments for numerous trade publications. An accomplished fisherman on all levels and respected by his peers. He was the son of Irene and Joseph Kominsky, brother to Nicholas and Philip, uncle to Abby, Lisa and Kaitlin, great uncle to Logan, brother in law to Mary and husband to Joan Swanton and latter Leslie Malcomb.
